Ken
I found my career calling in High School after one of my favorite teachers, Linda Carroll, asked me to join the Yearbook Staff because she needed a photographer. I became fascinated with the process and creative freedom of photography. I knew then what my career was to be.
While gaining my life lessons from the US Navy, sales and management skills from the furniture industry, my spare time was spent teaching myself the craft of photography.
I opened my first Studio in 2000 as a part-time experiment. More than a decade later, I owe my success to God, great employees, many loyal customers and the love and support of my beautiful wife Marcy ,our children Dani, Ian, Kennedy and my 4 legged daughters Amber and Coco.
Amanda-Graphics/Photographers Assistant
In 2007, while earning my Associates Degree in Portrait Photography, I was afforded the opportunity to intern at Ken Sykes Photography and never left. My job consists of assisting with photo sessions, editing, re-touching and graphic design. I am also responsible for creating the slide shows that will reduce you to tears during your View and Choose session.
We are committed to the highest standards of ethics and integrity in how we deal with our customers and in the community in which we work. Anything less would be totally unacceptable.
Though my husband and I are from Wilmington, originally, we decided to make our home in the Piedmont Triad area after we married six years ago. Since then, our family has grown with the addition of two wonderful sons. In my very limited amount of spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, photography and crochet.
Michelle Mitchell- Customer Relations Manager
My job is to manage the business office while ensuring that here, at Ken Sykes Photography, we provide the highest level of customer service available. I am consistently looking for ways to ensure that our quality and service exceed your highest expectation.
I have two grown sons, Bobby and Ethan, and reside with my husband, Chris, in Greensboro. I LOVE animals, especially our WHISKERTALES friends, and at any given time, you may just find 2 1/2 year old Bella, my Australian Shephard mix, sharing my office space. In my spare time, I am a free lance writer. I also enjoy genealogical research and am a member of the Rachel Caldwell Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. My Husband Chris and I, are in fellowship at Shannon Hills Bible Chapel in Greensboro.
